"Winter is always a difficult time in the NHS. Cold weather brings a potent mix of flu, winter vomiting bugs and respiratory conditions that affect patients and staff alike. The end result, year after year, is that hospitals get fuller, GPs are swamped, and patients wait longer for care." Kingsfund Dec 2019
We know from many sources such as our local service providers and the media that the pressure is on again at this time of year to meet the health & social care needs of people within our communities. Cornwall Council provide good advice on ways we can stay warm & well this winter.
What ideas do you have to keep those bugs at bay?
And if we do experience minor illnesses such as coughs, sore throats, stomach upsets, visits to Emergency Departments can be avoided.
Are there any other ways you can get advice for managing these types of minor illnesses?
